The newest member of DataMan family, the DataMan 280 series fixed-mount reader is the highest-end performer in compact packaging with a right-angle option for tight spaces. With fast decoding and easy setup, this scanner can read multiple codes simultaneously in the field of view, offloading images quickly with Industry 4.0 features.

The latest patented decoding algorithms and technology read low resolution and damaged codes at high speeds, including QR and DPM, even when the codes are behind specular wraps.

This can significantly reduce exposure times, increasing line speed possibilities by 75-82% over conventional sensors. Cognex scanning products provide the ultimate flexibility and configuration providing multiple liquid lens options and front cover options.

Cognex has a software program on their website that is free to download as many times as wanted, even into virtual devises. Software maintenance and setup is quick and easy with the ability to make adjustments through WebHMI once configured. Configure multiple units concurrently after the initial unit configuration is saved.
