Mobile computers can sometimes be bulky, often need tethered to a host device, and need to have both hands to use, requiring employees to put it down to fill orders and sort/load products. Zebra Technologies has a wearable mobile computer that can fit on the back of a hand, on one wrist, or ring-style on two fingers, freeing up your hands and your time while you work.

Decrease unnecessary steps to complete tasks with the world’s smallest enterprise-class wearable Android mobile computer with multiple mounting options. The All-in-One WS50 merges a ring scanner with a stand-alone mobile computer to simplify task-based workflows and communications.

The WS50 can enhance scan-intensive workflows with limited user interface (UI), is designed for aggressive warehouse and manufacturing environments, and can improve communications and task management for managers and employees.

With multiple options to choose from, Zebra’s WS50 is a new standard in enterprise grade wearable technology. Maximize productivity and enhance efficiency.

Multiple Mounting Options

The WS50 is a versatile and ergonomic option that gives you one device to wear, procure, and manage. It is easy to use and provides the flexibility of having both hands free to work more efficiently. The device itself is only 2.89 ounces in weight and is 2.44 inches long by 2.32 inches wide by 0.71 inches in diameter.

The wrist mount model comes with a 13MP camera to capture detailed photos or video to document proof of condition and more. This camera can also be used for occasional barcode scanning. This model is only 3.77 ounces in weight and is 2.9 inches long by 2.51 inches wide by 0.751 inches in diameter.

The converged 1D/2D scanning models come in two types of options: the finger configuration and the back-of-hand configuration. Both converged models are 4.48 ounces in weight and 2.52 inches long by 2.44 inches wide by 1.10 inches in diameter.

These models have superior data capturing for frequent barcode scanning in practically any dirty or damaged conditions. The converged scanning models can capture large barcodes, multiple barcodes with a single trigger press, can capture barcodes in motion, or scan continuously with an optional proximity sensor.

Rugged and Ready for Any Aggressive Environment

The WS50 is a Zebra Technologies advancement that incorporates modern technology and brings it to your rugged workplace environment. While it is not rated for freezer operations, it supports operations from 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C). This Android 11 AOSP operating system uses Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear W4100+ Platform with a SDA429x, quad-core, 2.0 GHz and 1 GB RAM and an optional 8 GB flash.

The WS50 is dust-tight with an IP65 sealing and can survive jetting water. The wrist mount model has a drop spec up to 4 ft (1.2m) with 1,000 tumbles at 1.6ft (0.5m). The converged scanning models have a drop spec up to 6 ft (1.8m) with 2,000 tumbles at 1.6ft (0.5m). The drop specs are to concrete per MIL-STD 810G and they all meet and exceed IEC tumble specifications.

Both configuration options have a hot swap battery option with a 2-minute memory persistent only hold. The rechargeable Li-Ion batteries are a standard 800 mAh battery for the wrist configuration and high capacity 1300 mAh batter for the finger and back-of-hand configuration

The capacitive display panel on Zebra’s WS50 can be encased in a deflector for impact protection, with an optional extra screen protector for an added layer. The 2-inch Corning® Gorilla® Glass AMOLED 460×460 color display is optically bounded to the touch panel, which supports fingertip and glove touch.
